Episodes:

Epi 1 - Dennis Burnett:

I talk to Winnipeg street and BMX photographer Dennis Burnett (@Menace204, @DennisShootsBMX) about how and why he shoots the street. Whats film all about. Why he plays the Instagram game even though he pretty much hates it and are there etiquette rules one should follow while posting on the 'gram?

Epi 2 - Kyle Schappert:

I sit down with one of the Granddaddies of the Winnipeg night photography scene Kyle Schappert (@kyleschappert) and talk about shooting steel wool and long exposure photography and how his work has been published by some of Canada's largest national media outlets. We also expand on Instagram topics from last week before then discussing about some of the amazing locations photography has taken him - even a tragic moment when his gear failed him at the worst moment imaginable.  And finally we have a passionate round table on Canada's new drone laws. Spoiler: I tell transport Canada where to go - albeit in a polite Canadian way.

Epi 3 - Dylan Paradis & Fde To White Films:

I sit down with Dylan Paradis (@FadeToWhiteFilms), a Winnipeg Wedding Videographer to talk about what it's like to shoot weddings and how he started. We talk gear - what he uses to shoot and how he does it. Also what type of corporate commercials he has shot when they have nothing to do with the wedding scene. And at certain points Dylan starts turning the tables and interviewing me on my own show! [Photo of Dylan Paradis courtesy of Fade To White Films]

Epi 4 - The Crossover Episode: Prolex Media:

A little something different this week: A crossover episode done on location with @ProlexMedia in their Osborne Village office and Studio. Part One is located over on their Podcast - The Prolex Podcast. They interview me about who I am, why I started this podcast, what I shoot, and what I think about a variety of different topics. We also watch and critique a commercial in their weekly review segment. Then the tables are turned and I sit in the host chair, which is what you are about to hear. I speak with Alex, the founder of Prolex Media and his right hand man Jordan and ask how and why the company was created, what they focus on as a brand identity, what they offer to their clients as well as what they do not. We talk more about my friends over at Transport Canada and what sort of next level hangouts do these guys have up their selves for this month? [Photos by Prolex Media]

I sit down with Joel Boily and Cheryl Mains (@BlackAndGoldPhotography), a married couple that is a tag team of Winnipeg Wedding Photographers to talk about how they got started in the wedding scene and what it takes to run a business. Shooting couples sessions in the most exotic of locations. Disney karaoke makes a cameo as well does the Stanley Cup! Theres nothing these two won't tackle! Lastly, how important is backing up the most important photos in someones life and how should you do it? [Photo courtesy of Black & Gold Photography]

Epi 6 - Josh Lavallee:

I sit down with the one and only Josh Lavallee (@Yoshigrams; @Yoshipixels) aka the rooftopping king of 'Peg City. This is an action packed show - our longest ever (but don't let that scare you off - trust me you will be entertained (Russell Crowe voice)!

We talk about a whole wack of interesting topics: From how he started shooting concerts and how he gets in row one so he can shoot his favourite rappers, the somewhat surprising locations and companies that haven't wanted to let him shoot despite his stellar portfolio, and why gear doesn't matter at all. We also tackle what we think are some core issues with the city we love, why he loves it despite previously wanting to be anywhere else all the while how said issues can be fixed. And \why does he shoot when he labels himself #NotAPhotographer? Oh, and my anger shifts from the feds to Travel Manitoba! You'll wanna hear this one. [Photo courtesy of Josh Lavallee]

Epi 7 - Austin MacKay:

I sit down with the perpetually busy Austin MacKay (@Austin.Mackay), a Winnipeg Filmmaker, Photographer, Entrepreneur, and overall well studied and talented person. The man has held many jobs we all want such as at a tourism board, including working for my pals at Travel Manitoba! We talk about what it takes to work with tourism companies both as an employee and as creative director of your own firm. If you're like me you wonder how does one even start your own firm. Well look no further and plug in your cordless EarPods because Austin will tell you all about it and what its like working with clients such as Mercedes Benz and Canon! And if that wasn't enough he's even directed a short film that was screened at a festival. What can't this guy do? [Photo courtesy of Austin MacKay]

Epi 8 - Jonathan Kozub:

I sit down with Jonathan Kozub (@point_shot_photography) and talk about probably the rarest genre of photography: Professional Sports. Jonathan has been shooting professional hockey for nearly 20 years at the highest possible level - the National Hockey League and the Winnipeg Jets. He also shoots for their minor league affiliate the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. So whats it like shooting professional athletes? Do you get to take their photo and then go for beers after the game? How much actual work is it to shoot a sporting event? How is it to be published in the biggest hockey magazines in the world? And if that's not enough to always see your photos on the newest Upper Deck hockey cards? And if that not enough, what's it take to get your photo on a national postage stamp!? [Photo courtesy of Jonathan Kozub]
